Medical Acupuncture is a complete medical system which can be employed for


  • promotion and maintainence of health and well-being
  • prevention of illness
  • treatment of various acute and chronic medical conditions



Acupuncture while usually associated with pain relief has much broader applications.  Acupuncture can effectively be used as the primary treatment or in combination with other medical treatments in most medical and surgical conditions.  The World Health Organization recognizes that acupuncture can be used to help treat over 100 various medical conditions including:


Respiratory:  asthma, sinusitis, bronchitis, emphysema, sore throat, recurrent chest infections, hayfever.


Muscular and Neurological disorders:  low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, sprains, strains, tennis elbow, headaches, migraines, facial tics, neck pain, tinnitus, poor eye sight.


Digestive disorders:  gastritis, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers, colitis.


Urinary, Menstrual, and Reproductive problems:  premenstrual syndrome (pms), menopausal symptoms, infertility, morning sickness, kidney stone, benign prostatic hypertrophy (bph).


Immune disorders:  chronic fatigue, allergies, hepatitis, dermatological disorders.


Cardiovascular disorders:  high blood pressure, poor circulation, anemia.


Emotional and Psychological disorders:  anxiety, insomnia, stress, depression, smoking cessation, food addictions, weight control.


Acupuncture is particularly useful in resolving physical problems related to tension and stress and emotional problems.
